Dave Lyzenga is an actor, improviser, writer, and software engineer. You can find him all over Chicago performing with The Annoyance (Nuggets), iO (The Teenagers, The Musical Armando, RIFF: Chicago's Music Improv Party), Laugh Out Loud (Ensemble), and right here at CSz. He co-founded the team Pop Scholars in 2009 and still performs with them every month in Grand Rapids. He has worked in Bar Harbor with ImprovAcadia (13th Season), on international waters with The Second City Theatricals (NCL Dawn), and in a Class 10 cleanroom for Purdue University (The Birck Nanotechnology Center).
Dave has written a solo show: Dave Lyzenga's A Good Guy, some tweets (@davelyzenga), and a whole bunch of code for airplanes (FAA DO-178B compliant). When he's not inventing jokes and songs with his friends onstage, Dave loves inventing ways to make technical nonsense more human and human nonsense more efficient. He's written and led custom workshops, training, and original comedy for businesses and universities all across the Midwest.
