Nicko Reno Patterson is no stranger to the Chicago theater scene, having lived in Chicago his whole life. He started at the age of five as a singer in his church choir, as well as doing a number of fashion shows as a child. You could say Nicko has grown up with a comfort for performance. After taking a number of both acting and singing classes in high school, Nicko enrolled in the University of Phoenix, Chicago with a business major. But that did not stop him from his pursuit in theater. As a college student he also took classes at The Second City realizing his deeper passion for improvisation. Feeling like a natural, Nicko found he had an ability to make up characters on the fly.  Since then he has been seen performing with The Second City, ComedySportz Chicago and They Improv. When Nicko is not on the stage he may be found behind the CSz bar mixing drinks and making laughs. Nicko states: “As a child I always wanted to be a superhero, and I feel making people laugh is the best way to make that happen. I have felt like ComedySportz was a home for me from the beginning and now that I’m performing, I feel even closer to the company and to the people I consider family.”
