Keith Whipple is a veteran stage actor who has performed and taught improvisation at CSz Theater Chicago for over two decades. He is also a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) with the North American Drama Therapy Association. He graduated DePaul University’s Theater School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, then earned his Master’s in Therapeutic and Educational Drama from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He trained at the Psychodrama Institute of Chicago and interned at Columbia Lakeshore Hospital. Keith has use applied improv and theatre to create positive personal and institutional change in a wide variety of settings, from corporate training centers to schools to hospitals and correctional centers.
Keith has been hired to do his work throughout North America, England, Scotland, and Ireland. He has applied theater techniques to empower Chicago’s immigrant population through Casa Guatemala, and programs of the Heartland Alliance. Keith co-authored and published a paper with speech therapists of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago entitled, “Waiting on the Words: Procedures and Outcomes of a Drama Class for Individuals with Aphasia." He has also posted articles online targeted to help those dealing with Anxiety and Dementia. Mr. Whipple has presented at numerous regional and international conferences. His corporate resume includes clients such as Whirlpool, Goldman Sachs Group, Boston Consulting Group, and Square D Company.
